Sidi Bouchich
My morning visit to the traditional neighbourhood of Sidi Bouchich was a true highlight of my trip, offering the chance to meet some exceptional craftsmen. I followed this with a design tour of the younger neighbourhood of Sidi Ghanem, a very different kind of neighbourhood – more modern, industrial and design‑focused. If you’re into art, design, shopping, or just want to see another side of Marrakech, there are a lot of good reasons to spend time in Sidi Ghanem. Over the past decade or so it has transformed into a creative/design district, filled with artisans, designers, showrooms, galleries and concept stores. Many makers run their showrooms and workshops side by side, making it a fascinating education as well
