When to go…

Summer: December - February
South of the Green Line: Best time to travel, with temperatures ranging from warm to hot, endless blue-sky days and cool evenings.
Central Australia: High temperatures, frequently over 37°C. Activities take place in the early mornings and late afternoons.
North of the Red Line: Hot and humid with the odd cyclone. Northern Territory and Kimberley lodges close from October to March. Some Great Barrier Reef lodges have a short closure in February.
Spring: September - November & Autumn: March - May
A great time to visit all parts of the country.
Winter: June - August
North of the Red Line: Best time to travel, with hot, dry days.
Central Australia: Best time to travel, with warm, sunny days, although night temperatures can drop to freezing.
South of the Green Line: Milder temperatures, usually between 10-17°C with more rain. Touring is still enjoyable.
