When to go…
From the coast to the Andes and the Amazon, Peru has it all. The coast enjoys mild weather year-round, with the northern beaches blessed with tropical sunshine whatever the month, while the southern coast, especially around Lima, is cloudy from June to October.
Dry season: May - October
Peru is a year-round destination but the most popular time to visit is during the dry season, when must-see destinations such as Cusco, the Sacred Valley, Machupicchu and most of the Amazon have little rainfall.
Green season: January - March
Highest rainfall levels in the Andes and Amazon. A lovely time to visit but less recommended for guests set on outdoor adventures such as trekking, mountain biking and rafting, due to closed trails and high river levels.
Shoulder: April and November
Mild temperatures, mixed rainfall patterns and fewer crowds make this a lovely time to visit.
Enigma will always recommend the best time of year based on guests’ interests and proposed itinerary.
