When to go…
Türkiye’s Seasons
Türkiye has a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters.
High season in Türkiye runs from June to August, during which time you can expect hot, dry days and larger crowds. It’s a particularly wonderful time to be on the coast, either at the beach or cruising on a gulet.
May and September are the shoulder season months and considered by many as the ideal time to go, with great weather and fewer crowds.
April and October are also wonderful, as the weather is still very pleasant (ideal for active travel) and things are quieter.
November through March is the low season, with cooler weather and rain (or even snow) in some regions. While those winter months are generally less popular, destinations like Istanbul are always exciting.
